WAVERLEY GOLD RUSH – SEPT 10TH & 11TH – NEW BALL FIELD – WAVERLEY SPORTS PARK

The Waverley Sports Park Board and Oaken Hills sub division are co-hosting and Adult (Over 30) Mixed Slo Pitch tournament on Sept 10 & 11th as part of the Waverley Gold Rush Fair and we are inviting you to come play.

We will be using the brand new HRM baseball field in the Sports Park which is opening just for this event and will be using the Waverley Legion field as well. The tournament is all about having fun and we encourage families, sub divs, communities, businesses and organizations to come out and participate. Our spectacular new field is in the Sports Park along with Cheema Canoe Club whose War Canoe has just qualified for next years 2012 Olympics and includes over 7 miles of trails. picnic areas, smaller play fields for frisbee etc and much more. If you have a team but no gear not to worry as our Minor Ball Association has all kinds of gear for you to use. You need not have played before to come out and have some fun. There is a very good chance the Scotiabank in Fall River will match a certain amount of funds to the Park and to the Playground if we get enough teams.

GENERAL RULES
1) Entry fee of $150.00 per team can be brought with you and guarantees you a minimum of 3 games
2) 10 players on the field at a time (open # on your team) of which 3 must be female
3) Thirty and Over for males, no age restriction on females.
4) 5 runs max per inning, last inning open
5) normal slo pitch rules apply

Waverley Legion will be open, many Gold Rush events on all week-end and park setting is incredible for picnic etc in between games. We know notice is short but ask for applications up to Monday, Sept 5th and schedules will be emailed out on the Tuesday.
